Hi guys need some help on this,my old tecsat gave up the ghost today,so managed to get a old foxsat hdr/gb charity shop and on back says 8100642
so need some help firstly there is no remote with this (i know)so first thing i did was look for channels after connectin sky dish on back of unit uo lnb 1 and lnb 2 but it cannot find channels it is telling me to put in postcode but cant as i have no remote am i right in saying it wont find channels till i put in post codeetc
on software version says u7.52
where is the best place to find a remote and what number remote do i put in search engine to find this .
i tried to reformat etc but cant as i need password stroke remote etc thx for any help

This is the original remote though there are cheaper replacements
And yes you can't set up the box for freesat without entering the post code. You might be able to do a non-freesat scan using the keys under the flap. Manual tune in menus. Select fta only to avoid hundreds of channels you can't watch.

if the last last owner has changed default 0000 to a password for him any way of chaning this so i can reformat this hard drive as it is full thx

AllanU 7.52 is the loader not the software. It's not the latest loader but it likely doesn't matter. Latest is HPRSFCI 1.00.21 27 Jul 2012. Only way I know to reset a changed password is using the custom firmware add on from AV Forums.
Postcode with first 3 letters should work OK. eg B98 works on my box.
With the CF installed you can control the box using anything with a web browser.

when you do a factory reset there is a on screen keyborad option that you control from the cursor keys on the front panel
