Yes no problem with the Fox T2 the problem is that the laptop using the same network switch can't access the network over the wired connection (WiFi works).

Going to try each item on a straight cable to the router tommorow, try a different network switch and using the netbook on the cable I can't now use with the laptop. Very strange.

Have you tried with the T2 disconnected/unplugged from the network, just to eliminate that causing your laptop problem.

    Strange goings on indeed.

Not yet Barry, but have with it powered off. Tomorrow is another day. It may well be a problem with the network switch. It seems very odd that the T2 wont work with DHCP settings. Will try with a clean connection to the router first.

Going to take the laptop to the router and directly connect it to see what happens.

    Todays progress report

First disconnected FOX T2 from network switch.

Booted laptop same problem with wired LAN connection

Connected laptop cat5 cable to direct cable to router, success

Reconnected network switch transferred laptop to another port on the switch, success.

Reconnected and booted FOX T2. Everything now works network connection wise.

However attempting to access the portal gives the following error

An error occurred whilst launching the application htps://www.humaxtvportal.com

Is the server down or is it just my box ?

    Thanks Barry.

I will try connecting the FOX T2 directly to the router.

    Sorted Barry

It was the same using a direct connection.

Factory Reset fixed and it now connects using the default DHCP.

    Happy Bunny

    Next query from a dummy

Installed trial version of Twonky server to try and stream some content to the FOX T2.

Should the FOX T2 appear as a device when running Twonky ?

Should my PC appear in the video media as well as the usb drive ?

Neither of the above happens. What am I doing wrong ?
