Good morning all, just joined up.

I've finally taken the plunge and kicked Sky into touch; my contract will terminate on 15th January. Bit wary, as I've been with them since 1990!!

I'm going to buy a HUMAX unit, to take the place of my SKY+ HD box, so it looks to me like the HDR-1100S is the obvious choice? I've only started looking to be honest...

The only issue I will have, is that there doesn't appear to be an RF output of the 1100S? My current set-up is that the TV's downstairs are fed via HDMI, but the TV's in the bedrooms are fed via an amplifier from the RF output on the Sky+ box. Any idea how I can get round this?

I know the simple solution is to run HDMI cables all over the house, but I'm looking for something simpler, if possible?

    Any help/ advice greatly appreciated

    Cheers

    Welcome to our forum.

You won't find rf outputs on any modern pvrs these days. Even Sky boxes now require a seperate plug in unit.

Do your bedroom TV's use magic eyes for remote control ?

If so use the box RCA analogue outputs Yellow (Composite Video) and Red/White analogue outputs to feed

If you don't need magic eye remote control use a much cheaper standard TV modulator. Depending on model you may need a scart adaptor.

Thanks very much for the prompt reply

The second option should do the trick, as I don't have magic eyes in the other rooms

Brilliant, thanks a lot for your help

I am trying to do exactly the same thing in a caravan, with magic eyes. Unfortunately the above link s dead, and would be grateful if you could advise the product that will do this? Thanks
