Thanks so much for all the advice.
My blue button does say On Demand on it, hence my confusion re the home button.
I’ve tried the method suggested, but, sadly, still don’t get offered the recording that I’ve just been watching.
I’ve decided that this is a dealbreaker for me, so, even though I’ve just bought this one, I’m going to look for another PVR. I would welcome any recommendations of a PVR that does fulfill this requirement.
    Thanks again.

Try again, as posted it worked for me as the attached image clearly shows.

Is your box connected to the internet and has a local IP address in network settings ?

You have missed out some steps in these instructions.

I am sorry but on my box the instructions work perfectly and appear to be the method set out on page 13 of the FVP-5000T user manual. My box is an FVP-5000T using software version 1.03.45 dated 02 August 2018 and a RM-L08 remote. Could you clarify which box you have, which remote and which software version you have?

    It should be:
Press the Blue "On Demand" Button
    Left Arrow to 'Top Picks'
    Press OK
Left or right arrow to "Recordings"
    Down arrow
    Right arrow to "Continue watching".
    Down arrow and select recording.

Those instructions work (with minor differences) if I press the Freeview Play button rather than the On demand button (red stylised F) but on my box the method I posted is less button pushes.

My apologies, you are right, it is quicker using the On Demand button.

I have the same software and remote as you, however I have the 4000T, so don't have the manual, and I don't normally use either of my Humax remotes as I find them uncomfortable to hold and completely unintuitive. When programming my universal remote I had for some reason not allocated the On Demand button on the RM-L08 to any of its buttons, and so was only using the Freeview (Menu on my remote) button.

When members were saying that they couldn't find the Continue Watching section I had assumed that was because they were using the same method as I was, but choosing 'Recordings' instead of 'Top Picks' from the list.

I have now programmed the unused blue button on my remote as 'On Demand' and will now be able to reach 'Continue Watching' with fewer button presses, so thanks for the explanation.

Thanks, glad we have sorted that out.
