had a look at that last night but it says it will delete the recording schedules. If that happened I would be living in the garden for a week !

The recording schedule is not the actual recordings just the recording schedule for upcoming recordings.

Photograph the recording schedule with a digital camera/phone.

Once you have the latest software you can save your settings including the recording schedule and restore from the back up.

Have you checked the home screen after a boot for the notification message >

What does the box say the current version and date is. It may have updated and you never noticed.

Mine just didn't! My schedule survived and new software definitely an improvement.
