    Hi all

After my previous hdmi problems with my 1000s,I bought an 1100s...
Now after 15 months the sound has stopped working.
    I have
Checked it is not on mute or volume down
    Changed the hdmi cable
changed to a different input on the tv,
    Reset to factory default
    Audio description does not work.

I am at a loss on what to do next.
The tv sound works with other devices, dvd recorder, firestick etc

Returning it to the retailer(john lewis) is not an option at the moment, because I live outside the uk and I will have to pay for it to be couriered

Try changing the HDR-1100S sound output from multi-channel (the default, I think) to stereo to see if that makes any difference. This will insure that all channels have volume controlled by the Humax. HD channels are normally controlled by the TV.

If that does not work I would try disabling HDMI-CEC on the TV. I doubt if it will make a difference but the spec does include some audio handling. Reboot the TV and HDR-1000S after making the change.
