HUMAX 8000T - suddenly stopped working

Hi there!

Our Humax 8000T has just suddenly stopped working, and now it will not even turn on. We've checked the fuse and everything is okay. There is a red blinking light in the S/PIDF socket. There is a very slight ticking noise when unit is powered on at the plug point...

Any advice is appreciated!

That 'ticking' could be indicative of a failed hard drive. If you feel confident enough, disconnect from the mains, open the lid and unplug the 2 cables to the drive and try to power up with the drive disconnected. If you get a picture then the hard drive is faulty.
