You can copy the files off to a PC using the FTP/SFTP server when enabled. Set-up is in settings.

If the programme was recorded in HD its encrypted and is locked to the box. Any programme can be converted to a mobile format, see page 30 of the manual AURA Manual, this downsizes HD, and other, content to a smaller file size but with lower quality. There are some settings which specify the size and frame rate for the conversions.

The files are TS Video which I use VLC Player to play.

    Hope this helps.

I downloaded a video file to the Aura app on my phone. Then uploaded the ts file to my pc via a charging cable. And yes it can be played on the PC. Is there a procedure to download video files from the Humax recorder to a usb stick? I have enabled the FTP/SFTP server setting on the recorder.
