Thanks very much, yea it shows cus3.13 when booting, am going to read up abit more about the packages before I go any further Thanks Martin

Those two version numbers refer to different things. From your description it sounds as though you have successfully installed both, just as many have done deliberately!
At the HDR-FOX T2's core is the Humax software, and that is 1.3.12 which is the latest version.

Actually when I checked the Humax website this afternoon I saw that they have released 1.3.13 to fix the expired certificate error that was stopping iPlayer working.
