I am trying to transfer files to and from my laptop in order that I can format my 9200T. I'm using Humax Media Controller and Windows 8.1. I have successfully installed the drivers and have copied a number of programme files onto my laptop. The problem I have is that I can't transer them back again to the PVR. The Download arrow is greyed out when I select partition D2. The drive looks like it is set to read only, but I can rename the programme files. Any ideas please?

The transfer to the Humax is for transferring jpeg and mp3 to the D1 partition only.

For the Humax to play a ts file it needs a couple of additional files it generates when the recording is made. As you do not have these you will need to generate them using the utility ts2hrw.
You will then need to use humaxrw to transfer them to the D2 partition. Humaxrw transfers the ts files and the side car files.

There is also a front end for Humaxrw if you do not want to use the humaxrw line commands.

Edited: I’d forgotten about the existence of ts2hrw

Thank you Luke. I haven't deleted anything off the Humax yet, so I can still try another programme. Will this work on a 64 bit Windows PC? Also do I need a special cable? If this is possible, please can you tell me which version to use for a graphical interface as I prefer this to a command prompt version?

Yes humaxrw does work on a 64 bit Windows PC.

Note that hummaxrw needs the drive to be attached to your PC.
If you have two USB/IDE connectors you can do this copy directly from one drive to the other. If you have just 1 connection then do as you were planning and transfer the ts and sidecar files to your laptop as an intermediatory.

The front end version is obtainable from this site http://myhumax.org/blog/?page_id=153

It is also downloadable from the link near the end of post #6 of http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/9300-transfers.166/#post-329
