I have noticed the Humax Youtube app allows one to select "Stats for nerds", not sure if this is a recent addition or not. Anyway the stats show the app is playing at 720p and not 1080p ! The Humax is sending 1080p to my TV (the TV shows "1080p" when Humax is selected) so what is Humax doing, seems it could be getting 720p from youtube and upscaling to 1080p. Oh and the youtube video I was watching is available in several resolutions up to 1440 when I watch it on my laptop. Come on Humax, my TV is 1080 why can't I watch 1080p youtube on my Humax?

Which Humax device are you referring to? If you let us know, perhaps admin can move your thread to the correct forum section.

Not sure which model you have, but I know my Humax 1100S doesn't go further than 720p on Youtube. I use either my Home PC or Amazon Firestick that upscales past 1080p to 4K. My guess is that your tv HDMI input is set for the picture from your pvr at 1080p, but the Youtube app itself will only show it's max of 720p? John L
