Why are there no subtitles when watching ITV Hub programs?

Presumably because ITV haven't yet enabled them. Complain to OFCOM.

ITV Hub is not completely without subtitles, they are present on the web version, at least when using Firefox under Win 8.1. But I have yet to see them on the FVP5000T.

They also work on the app using my iPhone, but not with the web version via Safari.

Others in this thread suggested that they were present in some circumstances on the 5000T:

I had a related problem Friday evening. I could start replaying the ITV Hub programme Sanditon on my Humax box HDR1100B, but when it came to adverts, after about 12 minutes, it would playback no further. I kept trying Retry, then reset my router, and had the same problem again. However when I used my Amazon Fire stick and not the Humax about 45 minutes later, I experienced no problems with ITV Hub and replaying the same programme.
