    Can you throw any light on the led colours? (pardon the pun)
    If the effect was down to software changes wouldn't everyone on 1.01.49 have purple for recording?

    Can only assume the LED in 'Mk 1' units is 2 colour only.

    Usually purple is achieved by illuminating the red and the blue led's together.

    Er yes I think that it is somewhat obvious.

    I think the point is that the Mk1 and Mk2 units both appear to have a blue LED and a red LED. If the Mk2 unit can illuminate both together for a purple recording indicator why can't the Mk1? Wouldn't the illumination of a single LED or both LEDs together be controlled by software?

    Could be software or hardware limitation, do not know for sure, will try and find out next time I message Humax Towers.
