Right - so if i had scheduled a recording and the Humax was tuned to a channel on a different 'quadrant', presumably the recording would fail? I think that's what happened on Friday, which prompted all this.
I'm using four 'feeds' (presumably two twin LNBs). Two are routed to my (Panasonic)TV downstairs and two to my Humax upstairs. Next to the Humax is a Sony TV with a single satellite input. It can be useful sometimes to swap from Freeview to satellite (e.g ITV3 +1)on the Sony without booting up the Humax. It's a minor inconvenience and i just thought it would be nice to have a 'fully functioning' Humax and the Sony satellite option if it could be done with ease and simplicity. It appears not, but i do appreciate all the input.
