Just a little moan/request. On a few occasions I have gone into Demand 5 and found I am unable to watch certain programmes but find on my android phone (My5) and laptop they are available. Does my Humax HB1000S HD have an update missing or is it just the receiver? Tried for the past few days to catch up on the latest Longmire series on 5USa. pLEASE ADVISE.

Almost certainly not an update or unit problem.

Suggest you contact channel 5 as they decide what is available via different platforms dependant on what rights they negotiated.

    Hi Patsy,
I have noticed that catch up on channel 4 and channel 5 are limited a little on all Freeview Play devices because I think it is to do with licencing as I have been told, must be the same for you on your Freesat box.
But you can get the full range of catch up from a laptop or a Now TV Box, I don't know about Google chromecast or Amazon fire stick as I don't own one.

A Chromecast depends on using a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet. You find the content you want to watch and press the cast button to transfer the content to the chromecast. You can do similar with the Youtube app and casting to a 2nd Generation Freesat box.

Thank you for your advice. I have been bought a Now TV Box for my birthday and to be honest I have hardly used it but yesterday I went into catch up and lo and behold watched Longmire albeit there were adverts. Which strangely enough don't seem to come on when watching on my Humax Freesat. The picture quality was ace and no buffering which I have experienced occasionly on my Humax. Maybve early days.

    Hi Patsy,
I mostly use my Now TV box for catch up and yes there is adverts on there but at least you get all the content.

Thanks grahamlthompson for the info on the chromecast I was going to get one before I got my Now TV box.

You are welcome, using a chromecast with a smart phone will give you 1080p quality where available, NOW TV only does 720p (1280 x 720).
