Hi , New to the forum Lost all recordings on one Humax 1000s have 3 units in all upgraded to 2TB the unit that failed found the hard drive was not at fault but found the main CPU was on faulty unit running 10 degrees C hotter than the other two units so decided that the common fault of no hard drive present was down to the poor heat sink on the Broadcom CPU so uprated this by adding a copper apple PI CPU Heat sink £3 E Bay to the top and on the two fins cut down a Black aluminium heat sink to fit I have now purchased an 1100S and although the unit is smaller and has no fan guess what take a look at the CPU heat sink it is massive so I would suggest this may be worth investing a few pounds if you have a 1000s model RB.

Hi sorry new to forum added a new resized picture of Humax 1000s Mod I carried out to the Broad com CPU to stop the lost recordings problem please read my earlier post trust this photo is now small enough to be accepted RB
