Hi everyone.
This is probably a really dumb question, but my aerial socket in the wall is female and the RF IN on the back of my smart new Aura is female, too.
So I take it I need a 'male to male' lead.
Are these as good as trad male to female leads?
Thanks

Are these as good as trad male to female leads?I have always thought traditional aerial leads are male to male. I don't think the type of connector on the end makes any significant difference to performance but what does matter is to get one that is well screened (which many cheap ones are not).

ThanksThe male to female leads are usually connected from the RF Out of the PVR to the Aerial In on the TV.

Thank you, Martin and Brian.
How do I know what leads are good quality? 'Gold plated connectors' sound good, but is that just marketing BS?
Thanks again!| Sat 12 Aug 2023 14:31:56 #4 | -

These double shielded cables are probably a good option https://www.aerialsandtv.com/product/coax-2m-quality-fly-lead
