Going on from my original post, I now have a new pc with Windows 8.1
I've loaded some sample photos into "My Pictures", found the media sharing in Windows Media and can now see the picture folder and file list with preview images in the top right hand corner of the tv. "Slide show" appears in the top left but selecting OK or the play button has no effect. If I scroll down to a random file a rotating symbol appears indicating that the file is loading but I've given up waiting after a few minutes. Is there an issue with max file size over a network? I know there is for images read of a USB stick.
Any ideas?
