My 93 year old Mother has a Humax 9200 which has been showing signs of failure for some time: she recently phoned me to say that the Recordings List was totally empty.
I live a 2 hour drive away, so wanting to spare her the horrors of watching live TV, I bought her an FVP-4000T which she is just about getting used to.
I brought the 9200 home and, using ‘humaxrw’, managed to retrieve 47 .ts & .elu files which would successfully play on VLC (no .hre or .epg files).
Two questions:-
1) Using ts2hrw I managed to generate 30 .hre files, but each of the remaining 17 .ts files crashed ts2hrw: any ideas why? There are some patterns, e.g. none of the recordings on ‘Drama’ worked with ts2hrw.
2) I copied the 30 successful .ts, .elu & .hre files back onto the formatted drive, and they work OK (I have generated a spreadsheet mapping ‘recovery-nnnn’ files to content), but I would like them all to play on the FVP-4000T. Will the FVP 4000T play mpeg2 .ts files if copied into the ‘Media’ area?
As an aside, I had hoped that the ability to check/alter the recording schedule over the internet would prove very useful, but it seems to regularly display inaccurate information, and doesn’t allow me to add or delete timers.
