I've owned a Foxsat HDR since they first came out and have been please with the machine. I've just upgraded to the 1100s so I can access the Freetime and On Demand via wifi.
I've already discovered that unless I fiddle with EXT3 I can't move recordings from the old Humax to the new one (not a deal breaker), but one seemed to be able to do more file manipulation with the old Foxsat - recording to USB and more. Am I missing something on the 1100s? Otherwise all working well and new software loaded during setup.
Any info appreciated.

On the Foxsat you cannot record to USB only move existing recordings to USB. The HDR-1xx0S units only allow export of previously imported items.
Foxsat SD Items moved to a USB stick will play when inserted into the HDR-1000S.

Thanks for the info. Is there a 'file manager' similar to that on my old Foxsat? (By the way, I do miss the display!)

For recordings there is no file management capability at all, other than delete them.
