    Hi,

    I've had a 1000s 1GB box for a couple of months.

Up until recently, its been a bit slow, but has worked ok.

I sat down to watch some tv yesterday (first time for a while), and found that I cannot pause the tv anymore. I tried restarting, factory resetting ( & unplugging), but doesn't make it any better.

The only way I can pause a programme, is to record it, and then pause it on replaying.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and a resolution?

    Thanks

    Luke

    Welcome to the Forum

I suspect the only solution will be to format the HDD.

Strangley this has just happened to me with my 500GB box also. Sometimes it will pause but upon replay it seems to jump to now and then won't rewind etc. Other times it will not pause at all. To my knowledge this only started happening two days or so ago.

Really don't want to format and lose all my recordings

I suspect the only solution will be to format the HDD.

I formatted the drive last night hoping this would bring my buffer back online.

After it had finished the menu was fine but the small TV at the top didn't come back on, I could only see a few fuzzy pixels in the top left hand corner. I exited the menu and found our live TV was the same, 3 inches square in the top left corner.

Thinking the worst I quickly turned it off and left it unplugged for a few minutes.

To my amazement when I rebooted it I had full screen TV again and a working buffer.

No recordings of course and not much faith in this PVR for the future, I think I'm going to leave it unplugged until the next OTA update and hope that brings some stability. (I am on .22)
