....when I'm watching my 7 year old Panasonic TV which is connected directly to my dish LNB. The screen goes blank for about 5-7 seconds and the HDMI tag shows on the screen. I did download the Freesat App some days ago but thought this was the cause and deleted the App from my phone and unpaired it from the 1100S. I also turned the Panasonic Viera Link off.

I presume the 1100S is still trying to see if there are any programme record instructions from the now unpaired App. Any suggestions appreciated - would a factory reset sort this?

Check you successfully did un-pair the app on the HDR-1100S.
No need to delete the app it will act as a rempote control and programme guide if unpaired.
There are some things that survive a factory reset, I think pairing is one of them.
I believe that the unit might check one last time after it has been unpaired.

Thanks for that - it has checked several times since it was last unpaired but it hasn't done so this afternoon during the last 3 hours so fingers crossed it has given up.....
