Theres a new BBCiPlayer version to try on <free time> boxes.
When you goto BBCiPlayer from the On Demand menu, select Try the New iPlayer at the bottom of the screen.

More info about the new iPlayer in the following link

BBC would like to hear any feedback if anyone has any: http://www.bbctvsurvey.co.uk

I've been sporadically checking for this but haven't got it yet. It's arrived on my Smart TV, and in the iOS app store, but not on the HB1000S.

Oh! - Have they made this public now.

It is not available via the HB 1000S.

Yeah, Freesat posted on Facebook and Twitter a couple of hours ago it's available to try on free time.

Well so far I do like this new version of iPlayer.
On screen graphics are easily removed quickly by pressing the back button which is great so no more missing any vital on screen text at start of a program or after you've had it on pause.
Fast-forward/Rewind is so much more accurate and user friendly than before.
However, you don't seem to be able to stop playback without pressing pause, exit or starting playback of another program. You can still navigate through the menus but the current program carries on playing in the background unless it's actually finished.

    Staggered role out I'm told.

Freesat said on Facebook that while it's in beta it will only be available on the HDR1000/1010s
