Thanks for the further explanations.
Actually the box was not recording anything I had set up, only tried this last night for Mrs Browns Boys - hilarious if you like that sort of thing, and worked OK.
No further problems on downloading epg.
Like max-speed I also had a few tribulations in getting the pvr to work until I realised as a multi function remote it needed the pvr button to be pressed first before you can operate the pvr - but it does not explain this in the printed material at all so it is a question of guessing if you are new to this type of technology.
