    Hi All,

Seems the issue is still open - just been speaking to Humax who confirm that they have had a few calls since the release saying that no audio via the AV amp - Humax are looking into this and will keep us posted - as soon as we have some positive news we'll get back to you.

    Cheers,
    Aubrey

Have you tried any HD channels? With our 1000s the remote volume control affects ONLY the SD channels now, whereas prior to update the remote would not affect volume on ANY channel

That makes sence, I couldnt work out why sometimes it was OK and sometimes not. Seemed a bit random, but the HD/SD thing could explain it. I will check it out this evening.

    Thanks

But with the Volume on the Humax at max the SD sound is ok, but HD is too loud. Turn it down on the amp and then you can't hear SD.

At least before I could get it to be about the same on both.

I am not sure whether my issue is related but since this afternoon the box won't boot anymore. It just says "Starting" on the front and the Humax/Freesat splash screen appears and that is that. Is there a way to recover from this?

Try removing the power for 60 secs.

Same thing happened to me the other month - box was stuck constantly rebooting, nothing would fix it, had to go back. Ring Humax.

How is your box connected? Sounds stupid but have you tried turning the volume up on the remote to max? Humax seem to have really screwed up with this update.

Our humax HDR 1000S has been ok for 6 months give or take a few hiccups till last night.
A message popped up on screen to carry out updates and format the disc which we clicked OK.
Now have lost ALL specialised recorded programmes.
Can you restore them for me? No thought not I`m Not very happy now Humax!

My hdr1000s is now updated with the latest release of the software but it still takes 2 minutes to change channel using the EPG. Anyone else have this problem
