I use an aerial 2 way aerial booster with separate short coax's to TV and pvr. Swapped them over but no change. Google says ITV 3 is also on freeview 788 but we don't seem to receive that.

You are saying the box can receive channel 34 but not 10 and the TV can get both Take the 2 way amplifier out of the circuit and replace it with a passive splitter.

    eg

I have used one of those splitters before when analogue but since going all digital I need the amplifier to get good quality. However I just retuned one more time and now ch10 is up. So, for time being, problem solved. Thanks to all for your responses.

That's just plain wrong. Digital either works 100% or not at all. In fact your amplifier will be reducing the quality. reducing the signal level can actually give you superior pictures - look at the signal diagnostics - you need 100% quality, for most kit about 60% strength is ideal - with a sensitive tuner too high a level can create signal clipping reducing the quality making it vary all the time.

DSO increased the transmitter power far more than the splitter will reduce it.

Next time it happens which will likely be when we next get high pressure conditions pull the aerial input to the amplifier and connect it directly to the pvr.
