Been away on holiday for a week with several programmes set to be recorded. On returning I find nothing shown in the Media-Video list since the 25th Aug.

On investigation I find the unit IS recording as requested (the led goes red as usual during recording; if I press Stop it asks if I want to stop recording; if I try to change channels it says I can't while recording: all as during normal recording), but the list isn't being updated somehow.

Is there a simple fix without losing over 100hrs of programmes?

Can you play previously made recordings? Can you pause live TV? I would guess that the file system has a problem but it may be possible to correct it with the Custom Firmware. I am going to write a FAQ article tomorrow which subject to Barry approving it will explain the process.

Yes, I can play previously made recordings and, yes, I can pause live TV.

FAQ, with thanks to Martin, is now 'stuck' at top of this forum and our main page, where it will remain for a few days before being moved to our FAQ section.

    Edit - FAQ now moved

Any comments or suggestions please post in this thread.

Thanks, Martin, the Custom Firmware worked a treat.

However there's now a small problem...

When I switch the TV on I get a green screen and have to power the Humax off and on via the switch on the back (not the remote or the front button). Very annoying, especially if the Humax is recording at the time I want to switch the TV on.

I'm starting another topic about the green screen.

Have you tried the usual fixes.

Change inputs on the TV and back to the HDR FOX T2 input.

Cycle through the v-format options on the remote control.

Either/both options will force a HDCP re-negotiation which may get your video and audio back.

Cycling through the v-format options worked yesterday but, strangely, not today. Had to change the TV inputs back & forth.

Try using a different HDMI cable and/or a different HDMI port on your TV. The issue is most likely a TV or Cable issue.

Thanks, but now continuing as "Green screen when TV powered on" topic as this original problem fixed.
