Info requested - Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack One.
Samba 2.2.12

Vista is only Service Pack One because updates just refuse to work correctly despite reloading Windows several times.

It would appear some users have a problem writing large files to the video share. Raydon is trying to establish why but currently it appears to vary with Windows install.

Use ftp for now.

Samba update now available from package management.
For those interested - only certain filesizes caused problems - so that problems were quite infrequent. In was down to the way that samba defined the field.
