I was in touch with Humax customer service and the guy was borderline rude and pretty much told me to just suck it up and reset the boxes. The reason I phoned as I lost sound on the 1800 so in effect I had two boxes on two different TV's with two different soundbars sporadically dropping sound. I think I have bought my last Humax.

There's no excuse for rudeness; however customer service (CS) must get pretty frustrating from time to time.
Resetting the box is always a good start, but if there's an underlying incompatibility the problem will simply reoccur at some point.Have you tried the splitter? and also switching off CEC anynet?

As I said two different boxes, a 1800 and 2000 connected to two different TV's with two different sound bars. It happens so sporadically that it is impossible to even hazard a guess as to the cause.
But yes I have tried the splitter and switched off CEC Anynet on the Samsung and whatever it is called on the Hisense. When I come to replace I will try Panasonic as this is the third Humax with issues.
