    Hi

I've just installed my replacement HDR-1100S and started checking a few of the (UK) channels. Every FreeSat channel except one works perfectly
But for some reason when I select, or scroll to, BBC2, the sound is absolutely deafening. AND I REALLY MEAN LOUD!

Does anyone in this forum know why something like this happens? And if so, is there something I can do to make the sound on BBC2 a level similar to every other channel?

    Regards
    Terry

Change the sound settings from "Multi Channel" to "Stereo".

I suspect you are referring to BBC2 HD. Broadcasters can use a different method of sound encoding on HD channels where the sound is encoded with the picture and so totally controlled by the TV.
