Hi All, I have had my HDR 1000S for a couple of weeks now, over the last 2/3 days i keep getting picture and sound loss, it just goes off and on every few seconds, it doesn't do it all the time but can do it at start or after 2-3 hours use, any ideas please? It has the latest Software installed,
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the Forum

    HDMI handshaking problem?

You could try changing the resolution the unit outputs see if that makes a difference:

    Settings
    Picture and Sound
    Resolution

Try 1080i - I would suggest checking the correct seating of the HDMI cable first (both ends).

This sounds very similar to an issue I was having. After a number of exchanges with Humax support to try different things I replaced the HDMI cable (the one bundled with the HDR) with another (previously connected to my PS3) and thus far seems to have fixed this issue.

I had checked the cables were firmly seated and I was also using the latest software, although I have had this issue with all versions of the software.

Interestingly I have reused the cable for my PS3, with no obvious issues.

I changed the HDMI to a different slot on the TV yesterday and so far no problems, and i'm still watching in 1080p - bad contact maybe? fingers crossed for today!
