I am trying to play an audio file from a memory stick. The manual tells me that I can play mp3 files, but the machine rejects them as "incorrect format". Does anybody know what I need to do to play them?

This was downloaded from the BBC website using the get_iplayer software. Originally the file was in m4a format which I converted into an mp3 because the box wouldn't play it. As it turns iut, it won'tplay the mp3 either.
Attached is the data file from the original m4a.

Attached is the data file from the original m4a.VLC has a conversion capability. Also try opening it in AVIdemux. It allows you to choose which audio to output. Freeview Radio uses mpeg 1 layer 2 audio in a transport stream container.
You could also have a play with Tsmuxer GUI.

Because the Zamvar people wanted £19 to convert the file, I didn't download it. I will try with something shorter and let you know.
It is puzzling that the box wouldn't play either file. I will experiment further.
Thank you.
