I am trying to play an audio file from a memory stick. The manual tells me that I can play mp3 files, but the machine rejects them as "incorrect format". Does anybody know what I need to do to play them?

Tell us what the container has within it.

    download mediainfo.

Open the file - select view tree. Export to a text file and post the text in this thread

This was downloaded from the BBC website using the get_iplayer software. Originally the file was in m4a format which I converted into an mp3 because the box wouldn't play it. As it turns iut, it won'tplay the mp3 either.

Attached is the data file from the original m4a.

VLC has a conversion capability. Also try opening it in AVIdemux. It allows you to choose which audio to output. Freeview Radio uses mpeg 1 layer 2 audio in a transport stream container.

You could also have a play with Tsmuxer GUI.

Because the Zamvar people wanted £19 to convert the file, I didn't download it. I will try with something shorter and let you know.

It is puzzling that the box wouldn't play either file. I will experiment further.

    Thank you.
