Yesterday I connected the PVR HDD to my PC and using Humaxrw (with the frontend program)I was able to see all the files. I was unable to download to the PC HDD due to lack of space. I re-installed the drive in the 9300T to try to delete some of the recordings and on powering on, I was asked if I wanted to format the drive. The PVR no longer recognises the drive. Humaxrw can't see the drive either. Does anyone know how or if I can recover the files as the wife is upset about several programs she hasn't watched yet.

I've tried running humaxdiag and humaxcheck but get the following messages:-
    Permission denied (with humaxdiag)

Writes to the Humax disk are disabled
Humax disk: Permission denied (with humaxcheck)

    Any ideas?

    Presumably you said no?

Humaxrw can't see the drive either.

At a guess you have allowed Windows to overwrite the partition table on the Humax. Try

    humaxcheck x: -p -w

where x is the correct drive number for the USB attached drive. You should then be able to use humaxrw to download the programs to a PC. As far as I know humaxrw will not correctly put the files back on the Humax 9300T (it will on a 9200T) so you will either have to watch them via the PC or burn them to DVD.

Thanks Martin, I'll give that a try later.

I tried that without success, does that mean the only option is to format the drive?

I've tried again running command prompt as administrator and I've managed to find 3 partitions and partition table has been updated.

So can humaxrw now see the files on the disk from the Humax?
