    I think that they are definitely wrong with the left hand one, it is as I stated in post #5

    Edit:

    Your second picture, left hand symbol (looks a bit like a cassette tape) according to German icord manual is 'Aufgenommene Sendungen'

    I agree, the audio on Freeview-HD is aac,(SD uses mpeg 1 layer 3), though the box will recode HD channel output to plain Dolby Digital. I am not aware of any broadcast source for Dolby Digital Plus.

    This is what I now believe to be the correct info:

    Top Picture:

    Left icon - Recommendation
    Middle icon - Sub title data
    Right icon - Dolby surround sound

    Bottom picture:

    Left icon - You have episodes recorded on HDD.
