On the programme detail page I have noticed there are sometimes a few icons which do not appear in the User Manual on page GB11. Is there any way to obtain an up to date programme icon list? I have just bought my 4000T from Humax direct a couple of days ago.

I get no icon for Film 4 in the guide - does anyone else have that problem?

    I only know of one.

Top picture, second from left (blue square with +) is recommendation associated with programme.

When you set a timer for Homeland you get an on screen message re a recommended programme the broadcaster thinks you might like to record. Channel 4 do this quite a bit and sometimes the recommendations are baffling to be honest.

Thanks for reply - at least that is one unknown icon solved.

I contacted Humax with the same question at the end of last week and await their reply. There may be more unexplained icons that I have not discovered yet, though!

Top picture ((-)) is probably for stereo.
Bottom picture first icon could be for series link.
Both pictures - Ḏ could be for Drama.

Could it be surround sound too?

It is quite annoying that the manual that came with my new machine does not list these unknown icons. Either the manual is out of date or the Humax itself is an earlier model with the wrong manual.

I've looked in the Australian HBS-1000T and the German ICord Evolution user guides which use essentially the same interface and they are not in there either.
Possible introduced after those two models were launched or added to the UK FVP-4000T but the relevant pages of the user guide not updated.

My initial guess was Surround Sound and Audio Description. But on second thoughts perhaps Stereo is more plausible.

If D were for Drama it would be an improvement on what the HDR-2000T/1800T sometimes displays for its Drama icon! I find it amazing that particular bug has not been fixed.

I heard back from Humax and they confirm what I now indicate in the attached photo.
