Hi everyone, having recently bought a used Humax 9150 I was surprised when it packed up after little use as they seem to have a good reputation . It had worked fine when I first bought it, but had been left turned off for some time.When I turned it on again, the box was completely frozen. The stand by light was on green but I had no output to the tv and no response from the remote or the buttons on the box.I checked the remote was working using the suggested method and that was ok.
I found this site and decided to read through some of the comments. I found a suggestion to disconnect the hard drive to try and resolve similar problems.I had the same problem on my CCTV system recently, but only had to format the hard drive to get it working again.
Anyway, I disconnected the hard drive and found the Hummy worked fine, minus the recording facility. As I only wanted to use this in our caravan, it doesn't really matter. So I am a happy bunny again.
