Hi. I'm new to this site and hope that someone my be able to help with a signal problem that has just happened. I have a Humax 1000s box which gives a 100% signal strength and quality on BBC channels but now no signal on ITV and other channels. I've not checked every possible channel but quite a few are missing. I've carried out a channel scan and a factory reset but no change I then tried an old Sky box and got the same missing channels so its seems the box is not the fault. I checked the satellite dish to see if it may have moved but seems very solid on its mount. I live in the North East of Scotland.

I would be grateful for any suggestions as to what could be the cause of this sudden loss of channels.

    A number of possibilities

    Water in the coax cabling
    LNB failed

    Welcome to our forum.

Find the missing channels on the list below.
Look at column 1 - note the Polarisation H or V.

If all the same then it suggests Failing LNB.
Likewise H & V mixed but either ALL at the top (or bottom) of the list <= > 11.700 GHz.
Mixed and bunched would more suggest water ingression.
