Recording Channel shifting

    Customer Records Royal Marines on Ch5 using series record (her son is out there) on a 9150.
    The Monday recording is on CH5, Tuesday it is on CH5+1, Wednesday it is on 5*.

    what is going on, I can't figure this one out.

    Welcome to the Forum

    Same episode repeated, nothing unusual for the '5' group of channels.

    Monday 5, and 5 +1 Tuesday 5* according to the EPG.

    Hi Barry, thanks for the welcome.

    Do I take it then that as she has only set the Monday episode on Ch5 to be series recorded, the machine will record the repeats as well?

    Because CH5 are using the same series recording crid for the same programme on different channels this is what is happening to a series lunchtime recording of Home and Away.

    Say you set a series recording now for the lunchtime show.

    This gets recorded and after this the box looks for the next episode, it finds this on 5* so the recording now schedules this one instead of tommorows lunchtime showing. They need staff who understand how the codes are supposed to work. In this case all they need to do is give each channel a different series crid.

    I have converted my series recording to manual weekday repeating ones to get over the problem.

    John - I have set the same programme to record, as a test, and currently it is only showing the Monday episodes as flagged to record.

    Quick update for you, tonights show recorded ok @ 21:00 and scheduled again for next Monday.
