    If I do that will I lose all the software updates?

    No but you will have to rebuild your recording schedule and change anything you have changed from default settings (box volume for instance).

    Factory reset has resolved all
    Could you clarify what defines available channels to view when 2 recordings are being made please

    The channels are split into four groups depending on the transmission method. Each tuner on your Foxsat HDR can only handle one of the groups at a time. If you are recording channels from two different groups then both tuners will be in use and you can only view channels from those two groups. If you are recording only one channel or recording two channels from the same group then the other tuner is available to let you view any other channel.
