I've got recordings programmed tonight, at 20.00 to 20.58 ....

BBC 4 radio? That slot almost always overruns and gets truncated by 1 minute as there is no Accurate Recording support on that channel.

Just noticed Luke, I've got recordings programmed tonight, at 20.00 to 20.58, 20.20 to 21.00 & 20.30 to 21.00 hours.
Three programs! Usually, the Humax won't allow this, & offers an alternative.

The check for clashes occurs when you originally setup the timers and so can only cover the next 7 days. After that, if one of the series moves out of its original slot(s) then clashed timers will occur.
Edit: I'll post later about this and I need to get back to work. But something does not appear right about this.

    I presume that:
    - the 20:00-20:58 is a new series link timer set-up in the past 7 days
    - the 20:20-21:00 is a regular Drama slot that does not move around.

Question: Is the 20:00-20:58 a new timer that you have set-up? If so then it should have reported the clash, unless
    - the epg wasn't being properly populated with the episodes of the 2 other timers
    OR
    - the 20:30-21:00 has had a change of schedule since you setup the timer for the 20:00-20:58 series.

Question: What is the programme at 20:30-21:00?

(By the way for next week you could consider deleting the 20:20 timer and selecting the broadcast earlier in the day for 13:40.)

The 20.20 is a series link, set a couple of weeks ago
The 20.30 BBC1 is "iffy". I thought that it had been moved to another day.
20.00 to 20.58 Ch 5 is a series link set a couple of weeks ago.

I'll move the Likely Lads to the earlier slot.
    Thank you.

ps The Humax gets that much use, because of my hearing problems, the commercial skip button failed after 4 months! Good'ol Humax sent me another.

    Some more failed recordings,Luke.
Trawled through the folders & found three more, all on 1st August.
    radio4 18.30
    radio4 ex 18.00
    BBC2 20.30

quite a large catalogue of failures, isn't it?

Yes it is. It is frustrating for me not to be able to work out what is going wrong , but obviously it is far worse for you as these are your recordings!

To temporary change the subject slightly, did you check your Home Front: Omnibus recording of last night? Did it record the end OK, or did it get truncated?

Home Front:Omnibus? It's not in my TV Magazine.
Never anything much to record on a Saturday night.

Luckily, the Humax has a good "search" facility, so if I miss anything (and I notice it, in time) I do a search for a repeat.

No failures since 1st August -until today.
I wanted to record Scooby Doo -Pirates Ahoy, for the grandkids, on CBBC channel 120.
It never started at the appropriate time, although it was still listed in the schedule. When I checked on the Media button, after it finished ( we watched it live) we got the usual message "Recording failed: Unable to track program"

No other recordings were taking place.
I'd just re-tuned Freeview this morning.

I often get a message saying that a program has failed, but they (nearly) always work without fault.
I also often get a warning that I have to pick two programs out of three, to record, as one of the three hasn't finished on time.
