    Hi Everybody.

Is there anyway I can watch a programme in its entirety, say On the Waterfront, and I then just want to record the contender scene, without the machine recording the buffer from the start>

    ta in advance

No, but you could watch the programme and when the wanted scene approached, switch briefly to another channel and in say 10 secs switch back. When the target scene has completed go into the recordings list and stop the recording.

The buffer should contain only the programme from the time you switched back to the programme.

Ta Repassac. I was using that solution but was hoping that there was a cleaner way to do it. I have found that you don't have to go into the recordings list to stop the recording as pressing the record button give you the option of stopping it directly.

The buffering has its advantages but this is one disadvantage.
