Remote Alternative Codes Ineffective

I’ve just purchased a FVP-5000T (1TB) but the remote zapper also switches on my Humax YouView box (DTR-T1000). I have followed the instructions for changing the FVP remote and tried all codes 1 - 6 but it made no difference. My workaround is to turn the FVP box via the button on top of the box. Any advice would be most welcome! Thanks. Terry

When changing the code the DTR-T1000 must not be able to see the remote.

Thanks. I did know that and so switched off power to the YouView DTR-T1000 before trying the procedure to ensure that it could not see the remote. So as far as I'm aware, I followed the instructions to the letter but it made no difference.

Do you see confirmation of the remote code change displayed on TV?

Yes, I do see the confirmation of the change as illustrated in the jpeg. The YouView remote does not switch the FVP on/off ... which is strange? Also my ancient PVR9200T and PVR9150T are not affected by this problem.

    1. Youview remote and unit is code 1
    2. Older Humax boxes did not have similar.

Problem solved but I don’t know how! Went for a walk and then, being a golden oldie, had a nap after lunch. Was about to conduct an experiment trying the procedure with both units switched on so that they had identical codes and then repeating with the YouView box switched off at the mains. Didn’t have to try it because it unexpectedly seems to have fixed itself before I got started. Maybe I shouldn’t crow too soon. If the problem had persisted I was going to ask if there is a way to change the code for Youview remote. A real mystery as to why it should suddenly start working properly. Thanks to all for comments.
