Hi I have a HDR 1000s/1010 1tb some things kept not getting recorded and it seems to have developed a problem with the sat in ports works fine then one port will stop recording and if you are watching the channel the it will go off so you swap ports (I have 2 ports plugged in ) and it will come back on send as if they go on and off can these ports be repaired? As they seem to be temperamental now?

Sounds like the F-connectors are not correctly fitted or perhaps have been tripped over. Refit them and ensure that the inner and outer connections are not touching and can make an electrical connection with the LNB.

What signal levels does your unit show on both tuners - Settings info - Signals (from memory, East Enders on) Note especially the note at the foot of the screen - what does it say.

But what did the message at the foot of the screen say?

The message will tell you if one or two connections were present on install. If only one it will have connected both tuners together internally.

Is it possible to 'unconnect' the tuners that may have connected internally? It appears that we now only have one incoming channel and I've checked all connections.

A reset to default will do that. It will loose your schedule and any preferences you set. Recordings will be kept.

During the reset a channel scan will start which will display a message on how many working feeds are connected.
