Setting Recording, not recognising it's a series

I've noticed a few times recently that I choose to record a programme and instead of asking me if I want to record the whole series, it just sets one single recording.

Latest example (if someone else wants to try): Mon 5 Aug, BBC2, 9PM "Rick Stein's German Bite". I went to 102/BBC2 in the TV Guide, found the program and moved to the program (so it was highlighted) and pressed OK to bring up the context sensitive menu and chose Record, then it asked me if I want HD or SD, so I chose HD, and that was it. It skipped the question of whether I want to record the whole series.

Here's the opening text on the description of the programme that I got from digiguide:

"In this brand new series, Rick Stein sets out on his German voyage"

From that programme? That channel? Or all recordings, and if so, are they working on it? Does it affect series recordings I set before this happened?

Only checked that programme, and affecting both SD and HD currently, the beeb will probably fix it soon.
