I am getting Subtitles appearing on BBC HD channel on my Foxsat HDR 1.00.17 when I rewind / replay the action on live TV. Cannot seem to switch them off (sub button "not valid" in this mode). This only happens on HD channel - no problem on BBC 101 SD. Can only get rid of them by catching-up to Live Broadcast again.

Latest peculiarity was when I tried to watch Frozen Planet in HD last night Live (not even catch-up)- I had a female narrator voice describing what was going on alongside Attenborough - very disturbing! Presumably "subtitles" for the vision impaired. Had to watch the programme in SD to get rid of this.

Any idea how I can fix this? Is there already a post about this somewhere on the forum?

    See this thread:

As for the Audio Description track, try enabling and disabling as well.

Thanks Barry. That fixes both problems. Great forum! Need to get Humax using Broadcom chipset then we can fix this buggy firmware (and get faster channel change response and..and..and...)
