Subtitles when watching mkv files

Hi
I have had my HB-1000S for over a year now and am very pleased with it. One thing that I have found slightly annoying is that I cant seem to enable sub-titles whilst watching from mkv..etc files (on a memory stick). Is this just not possible? I have tried placing the srt file on the memory stick (same name) but the humax just does not see it.

Any suggestions/solutions?

I managed to get subs working by placing the srt file with the mkv both in their own folder. Just make sure they both have exactly the same file name.
