I've had a 4000T for over 2 years now, and whilst I had the occasional crash at first I've not had one for over 12 months.

I have not any crashes with the 5000T, however I have seen some rather odd happenings at times.

Same as A1944. Recording seems to be very reliable.

I've had the 5000T since January. I crashed it once in the first day. It's in regular use. I expect it just work without needing any attention beyond updating the firmware. My LG TV has been worse to be honest. That locks up more often and needs to be pulled from the mains more often than the humax does.

Had my 4000 since they came out and I have not had one single crash. For all its faults, stability is one of its strengths IMHO.

I've had my 5000t since the middle of October, and its done everything it's supposed to do without the slightest problem.

I've had a 5000T for 6 months and it hasn't crashed once or missed a single recording.
Humax's reliability is why I never even considered buying another brand.
