Hi Everyone just purchased a HDR 1000s with freetime yesterday, to replace our Sky+box.
Set it up ok but today we have missed two recordings already.
Read most of the posts on this forum, signal strenght-ok, time clock-ok. The user guide is not very comprehensive,The more i us the settings the more confusing it gets,
SO does it record on timer better on SD rather than HD?
1080P OR 180Pi whats that all about?,
Could be a good bit of kit if it was Pensioner friendly

You need to be specific about what you were trying to record...
    Channel, Program, Time.
In "Settings" under "Recordings", what "Padding" settings do you have?
1080I and 1080P refer to the resolution that your TV is capable of. 1080P being considered the best. Broadcasts are in 1080I at best, but the Humax is capable of upscaling to 1080P, if your TV is capable of receiving that. If in doubt set it to 1080I and your TV will upscale if it is capable of 1080P.
I'm a pensioner and I find it very friendly
