    Both Start Padding Time and End Padding Time are set to Auto. Can this have anything to do with it?

    No they won't be involved. Not a setting I have used previously but just tried and I can switch it on.

    Thanks for trying. I'll have to live with it. One of the things I miss is the ability to recover accidentally deleted programmes the way I could with the Sky box.
