The system (9300T) does not record either from the guide or series link but will record on pause.

I have deleted a lot of recordings but this does not help.

Do I need to do a reset?

It is possible that this is due to a recent retune which did not go well.

A reset on its own won't do any harm, as a reset on its own will retain recordings. But before you do that try selecting a close approaching programme from the guide for recording and then leave the 9300T on the same channel as the recording will be made and report back whether or not the programme records

If Luke's suggestion doesn't resolve the problem then watch any important recordings then format the hard drive from the HDD Control menu item in the Record menu.

Thanks for your reply. I tried as Luke suggested and the recording on the channel I was watching did work. I've tried again to record another channel while watching another but that did not work.

What were the two channels? Try it again recording BBC1 while watching BBC2 and tell us if that works.

Now try recording BBC1 (or 2) while watching ITV1. If that doesn't work then my guess is one of the tuners are broken.

That worked ok and seems that issue has resolved itself.
